Professional double flare elbow for air conditioning installations

The 90° Double Flare Elbow with a diameter of 5/8 inch is a high-quality component from the CONEX 9000 series, designed for professional air conditioning and refrigeration installations in inch-based systems. Manufactured in accordance with the American standard ANSI B16.22 from phosphorus-deoxidized copper Cu-DHP (CW024A), it ensures reliability and long-term joint tightness.

Construction and materials

The component is made from thick-walled copper tubing, which guarantees tightness and durability under the high pressures characteristic of refrigeration installations. The double-sided flare design enables secure and leak-proof compression connections, while the precisely designed flares facilitate installation in limited installation spaces.

Compact dimensions (20 x 20 x 60 mm) and a low weight (20 g) make the component ideal for tight spaces, improving the ergonomics of installation and system operation.

Application and compatibility

The elbow is intended for air conditioning and refrigeration installations, compatible with HCFC, HFC, HFO, and HC type refrigerants. Use in installations containing ammonia R717 is not recommended. The component can operate in an extreme temperature range from -196°C to +150°C, making it a universal solution for various refrigeration applications.

The connection is achieved using capillary brazing with the use of brazing alloys containing a minimum of 2% silver, ensuring a durable and reliable joint.

Compliance, standards, and warranty

The product meets the requirements of the European Pressure Directive PED 97/23/EC and the MSS SP-104 standard regarding dimensions, materials, and production. The component threads comply with the American standard ASME B1.20.1 (NPT pipe threads), which are not compatible with pipe threads according to the PN-EN 10226 standard.
