Electric actuator for valves and dampers – reliable automation

This Danfoss AMV 10 electric actuator, powered by 230V AC, is a key component of heating and ventilation automation systems. Designed to work with various types of valves and dampers, it provides precise control and reliable operation. Its compact dimensions (130 mm wide, 95 mm high and 134 mm deep) allow for easy integration even in tight spaces.

Functionality and application

The AMV 10 actuator is controlled by a three-point signal, which means it responds to three states: open, closed and intermediate. Equipped with a mechanical position indicator, it facilitates visual control of the valve status. Thanks to the possibility of manual operation, it is possible to set the desired position without connecting to the control system – useful during commissioning or maintenance. The IP54 protection class guarantees resistance to dust and splashing, allowing use in various environmental conditions.

• Building automation: It works perfectly in building automation systems, enabling remote control of valves and dampers.
• Application with various valves: Compatible with VS2, VM2, VB2 valves and AVQM dampers – a wide range of applications.
• Safety: It has a self-adjusting stroke length, which ensures proper fit to the valve stroke and prevents damage. An overload switch additionally protects the actuator and valve from overload.
• Position signaling: The lack of a position signaling system does not interfere with the effective operation of the device - the presence of a mechanical position indicator is sufficient to control the operating status.

Construction and operating parameters

The housing made of plastic provides lightness and corrosion resistance. The ambient operating temperature is from 0°C to 55°C, which allows the actuator to be used in typical installation conditions. Magnetic transmission type ensures a reliable connection with the valve. The possibility of adjusting the working area allows to adapt the actuator to specific application requirements. The stroke length is 5 mm and the spindle movement speed is 14 s/mm - this ensures smooth and precise regulation.
