Manual balancing valve – precision and reliability in heating installations
The LENO MSV-BD manual balancing valve is an element used to precisely regulate flow in heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems. This is particularly important in installations with manifolds, where proper circuit balancing ensures optimal thermal comfort and energy efficiency. The device is characterized by a solid construction made of dezincification resistant brass (DZR), which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation even in difficult conditions. This valve is a universal solution, finding application in both new and modernized installations.
Construction and functionality
The LENO MSV-BD valve combines setting and shut-off functions, simplifying installation and operation. It has a removable head to facilitate servicing and the ability to rotate the body by 360 degrees, which facilitates measurement and drainage. A built-in drain cock allows separate drainage of water on the supply and return sides. It is also equipped with measuring connections adapted for 3 mm needles, allowing accurate flow measurement with dedicated Danfoss PFM 3000/4000 or other measuring devices available on the market. An open/close indicator facilitates visual control of the valve status.
Application and technical parameters
The MSV-BD valve is designed for use in systems with constant flow, both on the supply and return lines. Its Kv value range is from 1.06 to 26, allowing it to be adapted to various hydraulic needs of the installation. The maximum differential pressure is 2.5 bar, and the operating temperature reaches 120°C. This makes the valve suitable for operation with central heating (CH) water. It is available in DN40 size with a 1 ½” internal thread, ensuring easy installation in standard installations. The pressure class of the device is PN 20. Additionally, the valve has a setting lock to prevent accidental changes to the settings and a flow shut-off function using an Allen key.
