Regulating valve for precise flow control
This two-way regulating valve VB2, with a flow coefficient Kvs of 2.5 and a stroke of 5 mm, is a reliable solution for precise flow control in heating installations. Its construction, based on GGG 40 cast iron, ensures durability and corrosion resistance. The valve is designed to work with AMV(E) 10/20/30 or AMV(E) 13/23/33 actuators with a return spring, providing flexibility in automation selection.
Construction and practical application
The VB2 valve finds application in heating systems, central heating and domestic hot water preparation – both in flow and storage systems. It will also work in ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) installations. Made of ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT (GGG 40.3), it is adapted to work at a pressure of PN 25. The elements in contact with the medium – the mushroom, seat and stem – are made of stainless steel, which guarantees long-term reliability even in difficult conditions.
- Corrosion resistance: Stainless steel in the elements in contact with the medium ensures longevity and stable operation.
- Precise regulation: Split flow characteristic allows for accurate adjustment of performance to current needs.
- Compatibility: Adapted to work with a wide range of Danfoss actuators from the AMV(E) series.
- Wide temperature range: Possibility of use with circulating water and glycol solutions at temperatures from 2°C to 150°C.
- Low leakage rate: Ensures minimal leakage at a level of 0.05% of the Kvs value, in accordance with IEC 534 standard.
Key features and parameters
The valve is characterized by flanged connections with a nominal diameter of DN 15 and a pressure class of PN 25. The maximum differential pressure in the open position is 16 bar. Thanks to its compact design and high regulation accuracy, the VB2 valve is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable and efficient solution for flow control in their heating systems. It should be remembered about the permissible content of antifreeze agents up to 30% and the pH range of the medium from 7 to 10 to ensure optimal device operation.
