Buffer tanks – the key to efficient heating

Buffer tanks are devices used to store hot water or other heating fluids from various sources – central heating boilers, solar collectors, or heat pumps. Their main task is to stabilize the operation of the heating system, balancing the difference between the power generated and the heat demand. This solution is particularly useful in systems with irregular heat demand or using variable energy sources.

A 300-liter buffer tank, made of black steel sheet, is the heart of the heat accumulation system. The durable construction guarantees long-term and trouble-free operation. Thermal insulation made of polystyrene foam (70 mm) or polyurethane foam (100 mm in the BT500 model) minimizes heat loss, increasing the energy efficiency of the entire system. The outer shell made of steel sheet coated with powder paint (BT220 and BT300) or skay material (BT500) provides an aesthetic appearance and protection against corrosion.

Construction and application

Buffer tanks are designed to operate in a vertical position and are equipped with top and bottom covers made of ABS plastic. The maximum working pressure of the tank is 0.3 MPa, ensuring safe operation in standard central heating installations. They are ideal for cooperation with various heat sources, allowing the integration of several heating systems into one coherent system. This allows for effective use of excess heat and reduced operating costs.
