Air source heat pump – efficient heating and cooling

The HPI Evolution 11 TR-2 split air source heat pump is an advanced heating and cooling solution, ideal for both new installations and modernization of existing systems. The device uses energy from the environment to heat rooms in winter and cool them in summer, providing thermal comfort throughout the year. The split design, consisting of an outdoor and indoor unit, simplifies installation and integration with existing infrastructure.

Technology and performance

This three-phase heat pump with a power of 8.09 kW (heating power at 7/35°C is 10.56 kW) uses R410A refrigerant and Inverter technology, which translates into high energy efficiency and low operating costs. Inverter technology limits the starting current, which is particularly important in older electrical installations. The device operates efficiently even at low outdoor temperatures – down to -20°C. The integrated cooling function allows for comfortable use on hot days, and the ability to cooperate with underfloor heating or fan coil units increases the flexibility of the system.

Construction and application

The HPI Evolution heat pump consists of an outdoor unit containing a modulating Twin Rotary and Scroll compressor and an evaporator, as well as an indoor hydraulic module equipped with a plate heat exchanger made of stainless steel and a hydraulic manifold with a capacity of 40 liters. The indoor module also includes a central heating circulating pump, an expansion vessel with a capacity of 10 liters, and a DIEMATIC i-System control panel with programmable weather compensation. Two versions of the indoor module are available: MIT-IN-2/E (with electric backup) and MIT-IN-2/H (with hydraulic backup via a boiler). Thanks to the possibility of cascading up to eight devices, the system can be adapted to the needs of large buildings.
