Hybrid heat pump – efficient heating and domestic hot water

This solution combines the advantages of a gas condensing boiler with modern heat pump technology, providing optimal heating effects and reduced operating costs. The HPI G 25/6 MR Hybrid B200 hybrid system is a combination of a Modulens G boiler with an air source heat pump, offering versatility and reliability. The device works efficiently even at low outdoor temperatures, down to -20°C (or -15°C in the 4.5 and 6 MR models).

Construction and application

The system consists of an outdoor unit of an air source heat pump and an internal hydraulic module. The internal module contains a hybrid tank with a capacity of 180 liters, which houses a stainless steel condenser and a hydraulic distributor. The whole is completed by a standing gas condensing boiler Modulens G, which provides an additional heat source during periods of high demand or at extremely low temperatures. This arrangement allows for intelligent switching between heat sources, optimizing costs and comfort.

The heat pump uses DC Inverter technology, which translates into high efficiency (COP up to 5.11 at +7/+35°C) and quiet operation. The use of an inverter also limits the inrush current, which is important for electrical installations. The set includes a Fernox TF1 3/4" magnetic filter and Filter Fluid, providing protection of the installation against contamination.
