Hybrid heat pump – efficient heating and domestic hot water

The HPI G 35/16 MR Hybrid V200 hybrid heat pump is an advanced heating solution combining the advantages of a condensing gas boiler with air-to-water heat pump technology. The device provides not only thermal comfort but also allows reducing operating costs and limiting harmful emissions. It is an ideal solution for both new and modernized heating installations.

Design and operating principle

The system consists of an outdoor unit (AWHP) and an internal 200 ASL Hybrid hydraulic module. The internal module includes a condensing gas boiler with a capacity of 3.4 to 35.9 kW and a domestic hot water tank with a capacity of 177 liters. The heat pump uses energy collected from the air to heat water, and in case of power shortage or low outdoor temperatures, automatically starts the gas boiler. This hybrid operation ensures reliable and efficient heating even in difficult climatic conditions – the device works efficiently even at -20°C (up to -15°C for 4.5 and 6 MR models).

Components and specifications

The external AWHP unit is equipped with a high-performance modulating Twin Rotary or Scroll compressor, an air evaporator and quiet axial fans. The internal hydraulic module includes a hybrid tank with a stainless steel condenser, a modulating circulating pump and an interface for controlling the hybrid function. The device operates on R410A refrigerant and requires a 230 V power supply. The set also includes a Fernox TF1 3/4" magnetic filter.
