Intelligent frost protection system control

The DEVIreg 850 ground sensor is a key component of frost protection systems, designed to work with the DEVIreg 850 thermostat. Its task is to precisely monitor ground temperature and surface moisture, allowing the heating system to automatically start when there is a risk of icing. This keeps driveways, sidewalks and terraces safe and free from snow and ice, minimizing the risk of slips and falls.

Precision and reliability in operation

The sensor combines ground temperature and humidity measurement, ensuring optimal system performance. A built-in heater prevents the sensor from freezing in harsh weather conditions, and a microprocessor converts analog measurements into a digital signal, guaranteeing accurate and stable readings. The power cord length is 15 m, providing flexibility during installation, and the ability to extend it with a standard 4 x 1.5 mm cable adapts the device to the specifics of each installation.

Application and installation

The DEVIreg 850 ground sensor is widely used in anti-icing systems:

• Driveways and ramps: Ensures safe entry and exit even during heavy snowfall.
• Sidewalks and terraces: Eliminates the risk of slips and falls on outdoor surfaces.
• Stairs: Increases the safety of using outdoor stairs during the winter.

Sensor installation is simple and intuitive – the device is designed for installation in the ground, and a special protective housing facilitates its installation and possible replacement. The set also includes a cover protecting against mechanical damage.

Technical specifications: the sensor diameter is 93 mm, and its height is 98 mm. The sensor cable is 15 m long. The device operates in an ambient temperature range from -30°C to +70°C, and its power consumption reaches a maximum of 13 W. IP67 protection class provides high resistance to dust and water ingress.
