Description and Application

The impulse relay is a compact device designed for controlling lighting circuits and other electrical installations in residential and commercial buildings. Thanks to its mechanical switching capability, it ensures reliable operation at rated loads of up to 16A.

The device is ideal for lighting installations where controlling multiple light points from a single location or implementing a "staircase lighting" function is required. The design allows for the handling of various types of light sources — from traditional bulbs to modern compensated fluorescent lamps.

Design Features and Installation

The relay is mounted on a standard DIN rail, occupying only 2 modules in width, making it an ideal solution for distribution boards with limited space. The installation depth is 60mm, and the total dimensions of the device are 35×70×80mm.

The device is powered by an alternating voltage in a wide range from 24V to 415V AC, allowing for flexible adaptation to different types of installations. Control is implemented via 48V AC voltage or optionally 24V DC.

The design ensures operation in temperatures from -20°C to +45°C, and four independent making contacts enable the simultaneous switching of multiple circuits. The maximum inrush current at a power factor of cos φ = 0,6 is 24A.

Advantages and Application Possibilities

The relay offers universal load capabilities — it can handle bulbs with a power of up to 1980W and fluorescent lamps in various configurations (standard up to 1020VA, with parallel compensation up to 1105VA, and in a DUO configuration up to 1820VA).

Thanks to the manual override function, the user can directly control the switching without the need for control voltage — particularly useful during maintenance or emergency work.

The compact design (2 modules) allows for space savings in the electrical distribution board while providing the full functionality of four independent switching channels. The device complies with RoHS standards, guaranteeing eco-friendly production and safety of use.
