The HIS-20/3 main switch with a rated current of 20A provides a reliable solution for the safe disconnection of electrical circuits in industrial installations and commercial buildings. Construction and technical parameters

The device is designed as a modular switch with a width of 3 modules, allowing for standard mounting on a TH35 DIN rail. The installation depth is 69.5 mm, and the enclosure provides an IP40 protection rating, protecting against contact with live parts and against access to solid objects larger than 1mm.

A rated operating voltage of 415V AC and a minimum rated voltage of 240V AC enable operation in typical three-phase networks. A short-circuit strength of 1kA and a rated breaking capacity of 12.5kA guarantee safe operation even in the event of a short circuit within the protected installation.

Functionality and operational safety

The switch is equipped with three making contacts, which ensure effective separation of the circuit from the power supply. The arrow symbol placed on the device clearly indicates the switching function, facilitating the identification of the operating state during inspections and maintenance.

The padlock lockout capability allows for the prevention of accidental switching during service or maintenance work—a key feature for the safety of personnel operating electrical installations.

Operating parameters and compatibility

A continuous current of up to 125A and robust terminals accepting conductors with a cross-section of up to 50mm² enable the handling of even heavily loaded electrical circuits. Screw terminals ensure a secure connection for both aluminum and copper conductors, eliminating the risk of contact overheating.

The absence of an indicator light does not negatively affect functionality—the disconnection state is visible through the position of the operating lever and the arrow symbol. The device complies with European standards regarding low-voltage electrical apparatus.
