Main isolating switch for professional electrical installations

The HIS-20/4 switch is a professional device designed for the safe disconnection of electrical circuits in modular distribution boards. Compliance with the IEC/EN 60947-3 standard guarantees full separation function, enabling safe maintenance and service work on installations.

Construction and technical parameters

The device is equipped with four poles, which ensure the simultaneous disconnection of all poles of a three-phase circuit plus the neutral conductor. A rated current of 20A combined with a rated breaking capacity of 12.5 kA allows for the safe interruption of high-power circuits typical for industrial and commercial installations.

Short-circuit withstand strength (Icw) of 1 kA protects the device from damage during emergency short-circuit conditions, and a maximum continuous current of up to 125A enables operation under increased load conditions for extended periods without overheating.

Application and compatibility

The switch operates at a rated voltage of 415V AC (minimum from 240V AC), making it ideal for standard three-phase installations in residential, office, and industrial buildings. A width of 4 DIN modules allows for standard mounting in surface-mounted and flush-mounted distribution boards.

Screw terminals adapted for conductors with a cross-section up to 50mm² eliminate the need for additional connection elements when using thick supply cables. The arrow symbol on the front panel ensures intuitive operation - the user clearly identifies the ON/OFF position.

Safety and protective functions

The possibility of locking the switching mechanism with a padlock meets LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedure requirements, protecting against accidental switching during service work. The IP40 protection rating provides basic protection against contact with live parts and small solid objects.

A mounting depth of 69.5mm allows for installation even in shallow distribution boards, while maintaining easy access to operating elements. The black switching handle ensures good visibility of the device status in various lighting conditions.
