The PL6-C16/1 circuit breaker is a single-pole device designed to protect electrical circuits from overloads and short circuits. It is characterized by a high short-circuit breaking capacity – up to 6kA at 230V and 400V – which guarantees effective protection of the electrical installation in the event of a failure. Its compact size, occupying only one module on a DIN rail, allows for optimal use of space in the switchgear cabinet.

Functionality and technical parameters

The PL6-C16/1 circuit breaker with characteristic C provides delayed tripping for short-term overloads, which is particularly important for devices with motors or other elements generating high starting currents. Adapted to operate in AC networks with a voltage of 230V and a frequency of 50-60Hz, it offers a wide range of connectable conductors – from 1 mm² to 25 mm² (solid and stranded). The rated current is 16A, and the insulation voltage is 440V. The protection degree IP20 provides basic protection against contact.

Installation and application

The circuit breaker is mounted on a standard DIN rail, which simplifies and speeds up installation. It is an ideal solution for both home and commercial installations. Thanks to the possibility of additional equipment, it can be adapted to the specific requirements of a given circuit. Energy limitation class 3 and surge category III demonstrate its high resistance to disturbances in the power supply network. This circuit breaker is used to protect lighting, socket outlets and other electrical devices with moderate power consumption.
