Protection and application

This two-pole (2P) circuit breaker with a rated current of 2A, characterized by a C characteristic, is ideal for circuits with devices generating inrush currents during start-up – such as motors, pumps or air conditioning. The C characteristic allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, so it tolerates starting such devices well. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 6kA at 400V and 230V guarantees quick and safe disconnection of the circuit in the event of a failure.

Construction and mounting

The PL6-C2/2 circuit breaker occupies 2 module widths, making it easy to install in standard distribution boards. Its installation depth is 70.5 mm. The possibility of connecting solid and stranded wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides flexibility during installation. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures durability and reliable operation even in difficult conditions – the ambient operating temperature is in the range of -25°C to 75°C. The IP20 degree of protection protects against finger contact and the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.

The circuit breaker meets the requirements of EN 60898 standards and is characterized by energy limitation class 3 and overvoltage category III. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 440 V, and the rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4 kV. Power losses are 2.8 W at AC 400V and a frequency of 50-60 Hz. The pollution degree is 2, which means it is adapted to work in an environment with a moderate degree of pollution. Additional equipment can be mounted in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, which increases the functionality of the device.
