xPole series overcurrent switch – reliable installation protection

The PL6-C6/1 overcurrent switch is a member of the xPole series from Eaton, designed to protect electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits. The device is characterized by a compact design, taking up only one module on a TH35 rail. Its versatility makes it suitable for both home and commercial installations.

Characteristics and application

The PL6-C6/1 switch has a C characteristic, which means it is ideal for protecting circuits with devices generating inrush currents during start-up – e.g. motors, pumps or transformer-powered devices. The rated current of 6A and the short-circuit breaking capacity of 6kA provide effective protection of the electrical installation. The rated voltage of 230V and the frequency range of 50-60Hz make it compatible with most standard installations in Poland.

Technical parameters and construction

The PL6-C6/1 switch is made of high-quality materials, which guarantees its durability and reliability. It has a protection class of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger, but not against the effects of water. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides flexibility during installation. The ambient temperature in the range of -25°C to 75°C allows operation in various environmental conditions. Energy limitation class 3 and overvoltage category III demonstrate a high level of safety. Additional equipment can be mounted to extend the functionality of the switch. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4kV and the rated insulation voltage Ui is 440V.
