The motor circuit breaker Z-MS-25/2 is a two-pole device providing protection against overloads and short circuits. The magnetic tripping method and complete design in an enclosure ensure effective protection of installations in industrial switchboards.

Operating parameters and application possibilities

The device operates at a voltage of 400V and provides a rated power of 11 kW for the AC-3 category at this voltage, making it suitable for most standard motor applications. The rated continuous current is 20A, and the overload trip setting range can be adjusted between 16-25A, allowing for precise adjustment to the parameters of a specific motor.

The rated short-circuit capacity is 10 kA at 400V AC, which guarantees safe interruption even of significant short-circuit currents. The short-circuit trip setting range is within 250-325A, providing flexibility in protection system configuration.

Construction and physical parameters

The compact enclosure with dimensions of 80×36×75mm (length/width/height) weighs only 0.244 kg, facilitating mounting in switchboards and control cabinets. The IP20 protection rating provides basic resistance to touch and access by foreign objects with a diameter greater than 12.5mm.

The device is equipped with an operating lever and screw connections for the main contacts, which guarantees secure and durable electrical connections. The complete design in an enclosure eliminates the need for additional wiring or the mounting of external components.

Safety and operating conditions

The switch features built-in thermal protection, which protects the motor from damage caused by prolonged overload or an increase in winding temperature. The magnetic tripping method ensures an immediate response to short-circuit currents, minimizing the duration of the hazardous state.

The device operates in an ambient temperature from -25°C to +50°C, allowing for installation in both heated rooms and industrial conditions with elevated temperatures. The total heat dissipation is 8.3W, and the dissipation per pole is 4.15W.

Mounting is performed on a standard DIN rail, which simplifies installation in existing distribution systems. The product complies with the requirements of the RoHS directive regarding the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
