Phase loss relay for three-phase installations
The 2ZW REUVM2 phase loss relay is a professional device designed to protect electrical installations from the effects of improper power supply conditions in three-phase systems. This Eaton product provides comprehensive protection for electrical loads by continuously monitoring network voltage parameters.
Functionality and status indicators
The device operates as an undervoltage relay, which switches on automatically when the connection to the three phases and the neutral wire is correct. Visual indicators inform about the current system status: a green LED signals correct power supply and readiness for operation, while a flashing red LED warns of detected faults in phases L1, L2, or L3.
When the monitored rated voltage (UN) falls below the set switching threshold (US) in one, two, or all three phases, the relay immediately returns to its rest position, protecting connected devices from operating under unfavorable conditions.
Technical parameters and compatibility
The relay operates at a rated voltage of 400V and a frequency of 50 Hz, supporting a measurement range of 3N, 400/230V. The maximum switching capacity is 1250 VA, allowing for the control of appropriately large loads. A trip delay time of 500 ms ensures a rapid response to irregularities while filtering out short-term disturbances.
The device allows for a maximum of 5 operating cycles per minute, which is sufficient for most industrial and commercial applications. The design also allows for single-phase application through appropriate connection of the L1-L2-L3 wires.
Mounting and construction
The relay is mounted on a standard DIN rail, occupying only 1 module width. The compact design with a mounting height of 90 mm allows for space savings in modular distribution boards. The IP20 protection rating ensures safe operation inside electrical enclosures.
The device is powered by alternating current (AC) and is an integral component of modern electrical installations requiring reliable protection against the effects of voltage drops and other network irregularities.
