This Eaton Moeller® U-PKZ0 series undervoltage release is a key element ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical installations. Designed to work with motor starters, it effectively protects circuits against the effects of voltage drops, which is particularly important in industrial applications and public buildings. The device is compatible with existing products and accessories with screw terminals, making it easier to modernize and expand existing systems.

This release is distinguished by fast and convenient wiring thanks to the use of spring terminals – this can save up to 50% of time compared to traditional screw terminals. In addition, the constant spring pressure ensures resistance to vibrations and shocks, guaranteeing a stable connection and long-term operation.

Application and functionality

The device is intended for mounting in motor starters, where it functions as a stopping device or emergency shutdown device in accordance with IEC/EN 60204. Its operation is based on monitoring the AC 230V 50Hz control voltage and reacting to its drop below the permissible level. The lack of normally open, normally closed or changeover contacts means that the device focuses exclusively on the undervoltage release function.

Mounting and compatibility

The release has screw connections, and its mounting is simple and intuitive. Compatible with a wide range of Eaton Moeller® PKZ(M)0 series motor starters, making it a universal solution for many applications. Remember to maintain appropriate working voltage parameters (42-480V AC and 24-250V DC) during integration with the system. The device meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60947-4-1 standards and has CSA and UL certificates, confirming its high quality and safety of use.
