This threaded plug GN 749-G1/2-A is a connecting element used to seal threaded holes tightly. Made of galvanized steel, it provides durability and corrosion resistance, which is crucial in demanding industrial environments. This plug is particularly valued for its precision and the ability to choose the appropriate gasket material. Two versions are available: with NBR rubber (version A) resistant to temperatures up to 100°C and with FPM rubber (Viton – version B), which withstands up to 180°C. This allows it to be adapted to the specifics of a particular application and prevailing working conditions. It is worth remembering that the Viton version is more resistant to aggressive chemical media.

Construction and properties

The GN 749-G1/2-A plug is characterized by a solid construction and high quality of workmanship. Galvanized steel grade 5.8 guarantees tensile strength reaching 500 N/mm². Each plug undergoes ultrasonic tests, which confirms the absence of internal defects and ensures its reliability. The G1/2 inch thread ensures compatibility with a wide range of standard fittings and valves. The maximum permissible operating pressure is 400 bar (250 bar for G1), making it suitable for applications requiring high tightness and safety. The recommended tightening torque is 80 Nm, which allows for a secure and stable connection without the risk of damaging the thread.
