Torque adjustment for precise applications

The MZD knob is an innovative solution from ELESA+GANTER that combines the functionality of a knob with the ability to precisely adjust the tightening torque. Construction and operating principle

The MZD knob is made of durable polyamide (PA), guaranteeing its durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It has a metric M8 thread with a length of 40 mm and a diameter of 47 mm. Torque adjustment is done by changing the position of the scale dial using a socket head cap screw with a hexagonal socket. This allows for smooth adjustment of the value in the range of 0.2 Nm to 1 Nm, and the factory-set torque is 0.5 Nm. The operating principle is similar to that of a torque wrench – the tighter the adjusting screw, the higher the tightening torque. Tests confirm the high durability of the mechanism – even after 60,000 cycles, no wear or change in the set torque was observed.
