Protection against atmospheric discharges

This 9-meter long aluminum lightning rod is a key element of the surge protection system. It serves to safely dissipate the energy of atmospheric discharges, protecting buildings and equipment from damage. It is particularly useful for roof elements or devices mounted outdoors – skylights, air conditioners, central ventilation units or ventilation ducts – which cannot be directly connected to the main down conductor.

The mast is made of durable aluminum, which ensures its lightweight and corrosion resistance. Its design allows the use of conductors with a diameter of 16 to 40 mm, providing flexibility in choosing the appropriate connections. The lack of high-voltage insulation means that this mast is intended for use in grounding systems, where surge energy is discharged directly to the ground.

Installation and application

The mast is supplied in a raw state, allowing it to be painted or covered with other materials to match the building's aesthetics. Appropriate brackets are required for correct installation – selected individually depending on the type of mounting surface (wall, tile, etc.). An example mounting bracket is model 66000205, designed for wall mounting.

Using lightning rods allows the creation of a protective zone around the protected objects. This simple solution significantly increases the safety of the installation and minimizes the risk of failures caused by lightning strikes. Remember that the correct selection and installation of the lightning protection system elements should be carried out by a qualified installer in accordance with applicable standards.
