This aluminum lightning rod mast, mounted on a tripod, is a key element of the surge protection system. It is used to protect roof elements and external devices – skylights, air conditioners, ventilation units or ventilation ducts – from the effects of direct and indirect lightning strikes. The mast is particularly useful in situations where a direct connection to the lightning protection system is impossible or impractical.

Design and application

The structure based on a tripod with concrete foundations ensures stability and resistance to strong winds. The mast is self-supporting, which simplifies installation and eliminates the need for additional stays. The whole weighs up to 142 kg, which proves the solid construction. The height of the mast is 4 meters, and the diameter allows adaptation to conductors with a cross-section from 16 to 40 mm. The use of high-voltage insulation minimizes the risk of overvoltage and ensures safe operation of the system.

Additionally, it is worth remembering to choose appropriate mounting brackets (e.g. 96000201 for wall mounting) and to order a high-voltage cable separately – it is not part of the set. For roofs covered with roofing felt or membrane, pads 94308222 and 94308221 are recommended, respectively, which ensure proper seating of the tripod foundations. The set includes the mast spike, tripod with six concrete bases and a mounting kit.
