A surge arrester designed in a Y-configuration with a modular width of three modules (54 mm) provides protection against surges resulting from indirect lightning strikes and switching operations, e.g., on photovoltaic farms or in other DC installations. ESPPV V T2 20 series surge arresters are equipped with replaceable modules featuring an optical indicator informing about the device status: green - functional, red - module replacement required. The device can be installed in two positions on a TH 35 rail. Continuous operating voltage for PV circuit voltage: UCPV ≥ 1,2 × UOC STC (Open Circuit voltage under Standard Test Conditions).
