YDY 2x1.5 cable is a versatile copper cable ideal for electrical installations in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Construction and properties

The YDY cable features a round cross-section and a white outer sheath. Two conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² allow for the transmission of electrical energy at a rated voltage of up to 750 V (450/750 V). The conductors are twisted, enhancing cable flexibility and simplifying installation. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation provides excellent protection against mechanical damage and external environmental factors. The cable lacks armor or shielding, making it suitable for environments with low risk of electromagnetic interference.

Application and installation

The YDY 2x1.5 cable is designed for permanent installation in dry and humid indoor environments. It is suitable for lighting circuits, socket outlets, and powering low-power electrical devices. The minimum bending radius during installation is 48.6 mm. Thanks to its flexibility, the cable is easy to route through conduits and surface-mounted boxes. Remember to observe the maximum allowable operating temperature of the conductors — up to 70°C.
