Construction and Properties

The YDY cable features a round cross-section and a white outer sheath. The Class 1 copper conductors, compliant with PN-EN 60228, guarantee excellent conductivity and minimize energy losses. The PVC insulation provides effective protection against short circuits and mechanical damage. The cable is designed for operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C, making it suitable for diverse environmental conditions. The rated voltage of 450/750V allows for use across a broad spectrum of applications.

Applications and Installation

The YDY 5x1.5 cable is intended for fixed electrical installations, both inside buildings (on and under plaster) and in power equipment. It can be used in dry and damp environments. The minimum bending radius is 60.6 mm, facilitating installation even in confined spaces. Thanks to its flexibility and durability, the cable is easy to route and resistant to damage during installation. The fire reaction class Eca provides additional safety. The conductors are twisted for enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference.
