Construction and Application

The YDYp cable features a flat geometry, significantly simplifying installation in confined spaces such as under flooring, within walls, or beneath plaster. Three copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² enable powering a wide range of electrical devices. The copper conductors provide excellent electrical conductivity and minimize energy losses. The PVC insulation protects against short circuits and mechanical damage. The cable is designed for operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C, making it suitable for indoor applications.

Technical Specifications – What You Need to Know

The YDYp cable complies with safety standard EN 13501-6 (fire reaction class Eca). It features Class 1 (solid) conductors and color-coded identification for easy recognition during installation. The minimum bending radius is 63 mm, preventing conductor damage during routing. The cable does not include a protective barrier or shield, enhancing its flexibility and ease of installation. Note the maximum allowable operating temperature of the conductors: up to 70°C during operation and between -5°C and +5°C during installation.
