Residential cable H03VV-F (OMY) 2x1.5 mm² orange OMY-2X1,5
Universal installation cable for broad application
Residential cable H03VV-F, commonly known as OMY, is a flexible solution for electrical installations inside buildings. It performs excellently in residential, office, and portable device power applications. Its design and properties make it a reliable choice for professionals and demanding users.
Construction and characteristics
The OMY 2x1.5 cable features two copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², providing sufficient conductivity for most standard appliances. The conductors are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ensuring excellent protection against mechanical damage and external influences. The entire cable is covered with a flexible orange PVC sheath, facilitating easy identification and differentiation of cables within the installation. The cable does not include a shield, which is typical for this type of application. The multi-strand copper construction (Class 5) ensures high flexibility, simplifying installation even in confined spaces and complex routing paths. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7 mm.
Application and benefits
This cable is ideal for connecting low-power devices—table lamps, audiovisual equipment, household appliances, and other portable devices. It is also well-suited for internal installations in residential rooms, offices, and retail spaces. Its flexibility allows repeated bending without risk of damage, which is especially important for frequently moved or mobile devices. The cable complies with standards PN-91/E-90103 and PN-HD 21.1.S4:2004, confirming its safety and conformity with current regulations. When installing fixed circuits, observe the minimum bending radius of 35 mm. The rated voltage of 300/300 V enables safe use in standard electrical installations. Operating temperature ranges from -30°C to +70°C for fixed installations and -10°C to +70°C for mobile appliances, making it a versatile solution for diverse operating conditions.
