DCAC Connection Distribution Box – Safety and Functionality in One

This hermetic EMITER distribution box, with an IP65 protection rating, is designed for demanding photovoltaic installations. It provides comprehensive protection on both the direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) sides, integrating Dehn surge arrestors, which translates to reliability and long-term system operation. It is an ideal solution for installations with two PV strings and two MPP Tracking (MPPT) points.

Surge Protection and Solid Construction

The distribution box is equipped with a Dehn type 2 DC surge arrester, designed to operate at 1000V. It protects sensitive components of the photovoltaic installation from the effects of lightning strikes and fast voltage transients. Additionally, a Dehn type 1+2 surge arrester with a current of 10A (3-phase) is used on the AC side, which constitutes the first line of defense against overvoltages in the power grid. The hermetic housing with dimensions of 319 x 384 x 144 mm (width x height x depth) guarantees the safety of internal components from weather conditions and dust. The net weight of the distribution box is 3.76 kg, and the gross weight is 3.94 kg.
