Robust cable mounting PAS – covers for Ensto SO255S cable clamps

This set of three covers is dedicated to Ensto SO255S cable clamps, designed for the safe and durable mounting of PAS cables (rope cables) with a cross-section of 50-70 mm². These covers provide additional protection and connection stability, especially in demanding weather conditions.

Design and application

SO255S clamps, in combination with the covers, are used both on end and support poles of overhead lines. Their design based on wedge jaws guarantees a firm grip on the cable insulation, minimizing the risk of shifting or damage. Additionally, the presence of a clamp piercing the insulation allows for effective grounding of the cable through the clamp, increasing the safety of the entire installation.

Operating and assembly parameters

SO255S covers have been designed with easy assembly and reliable operation in mind. It is important to follow the recommended tightening torque (40 Nm) to ensure optimal clamping force and connection durability. The load capacity of the clamp is 20 kN (SMFL) and 18 kN (SMDL), which guarantees safe retention of the cables even under high mechanical loads.
