The SLIW58 twin-screw connector from Ensto is a reliable solution for connecting aluminum and copper wires with a cross-section of 50-150 mm². The SLIW58 connector is characterized by high-quality workmanship. The current-carrying elements are made of tinned aluminum alloy, providing good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The screws and washers are made of stainless steel, which further increases the durability and reliability of the connection. The breakable nut head made of aluminum alloy ensures repeatable tightening torque, regardless of the installation temperature.

Safety and compliance with standards

The SLIW58 connector meets the requirements of EN 50483-4:2009 (identical to PN-EN 50483-4:2009) – connector class A1. Tested in the range of installation and operating temperatures down to -25°C (the standard requires only -10°C), making it an ideal solution for outdoor applications and in regions with low temperatures. All metal parts are insulated from live parts, increasing safety. The dielectric strength in water is 6kV / 50Hz / 1min, confirming its high insulation. The tightening torque is 15 Nm. The connector has a protection degree of IPX6, which means resistance to dust and strong jets of water.
