AXCES cable joint – a reliable medium voltage connection

This heat-shrinkable joint, catalog number HJU33.2402, is designed for connecting AXCES universal cables. It is a key element in the construction and maintenance of medium voltage power networks, providing a safe and durable connection of conductors. The joint is particularly recommended for repair work and during the implementation of new installations.

Design and application

The HJU33.2402 joint is designed to work with three-core cables with a conductor cross-section of 70 to 95 mm². Its heat-shrinkable design ensures tightness and protection against moisture and contamination, which translates into long-term connection reliability. The joint does not transfer cable stresses, which minimizes the risk of mechanical damage. It is intended for AXCES type universal cables, but can also be used with other cables of similar construction. The rated voltage U0/U (Um) is 12,7/22 (24) kV, making it suitable for use in medium voltage networks.

Made of halogen-free materials, the HJU33.2402 joint meets high fire safety standards. The absence of halogen in the composition limits the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire, which is particularly important in installations located in closed rooms or public places. It has a concentric screen, which provides effective electromagnetic shielding and minimizes interference in the transmitted signal.

Additionally, it is worth remembering that the joint is supplied as a complete set of components – tapes, wipes, abrasive paper, field control elements, heat-shrinkable insulating and conductive tubes, and external tubes – which facilitates and speeds up installation.
