Cable glands (sometimes also called cable glands) and cable glands are used to insert cables into electrical cabinets, switchboards and electrical equipment. They are designed to partially stiffen the introduced section of the cable in order to protect against mechanical damage, and in some cases they are to protect the cable and the interior of the cabinet or electrical device against possible contamination that may penetrate through the hole through which the cable is inserted. Plastic chokes - used wherever significant increases in induction currents may occur, there is no high risk of mechanical damage and no rapid temperature increases.
