Product features
- Solid electrical connections with KL 16 connectors
KL cable connectors are a reliable element of electrical installations, ensuring a safe and durable connection of copper wires. Made of high-quality copper and galvanically tinned, they guarantee excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. Designed for "butt" connection, they are characterized by simple assembly and reliable operation. This specific set contains 10 connectors with a cross-section of 16 mm².
Construction and application
KL 16 connectors are designed to connect single- and multi-core wires. Their construction with an embossing in the middle ensures precise insertion of the wire strand to the required length, which translates into connection stability. They are ideal for use in electrical installations in residential, commercial buildings and in industry. Thanks to the tinned coating, these connectors withstand environmental conditions well, minimizing the risk of oxidation and ensuring long-term reliability.
Material: Copper (Cu) – provides excellent electrical conductivity.
Coating: Galvanic tinning – protects against corrosion and improves conductivity.
Cross-section: 16 mm² – dedicated to wires with the appropriate cross-section.
Connection type: Crimp connector – quick and easy installation without the need for specialized tools (although appropriate matrices are recommended).
Application: Electrical installations, connection of copper wires, extension of cables.
Standards and certificates
KL 16 connectors meet the requirements of PN-EN IEC 61238-1-1:2020-06 and PN-EN IEC 61238-1-3:2020-01, which confirms their high quality and safety of use. They also have a UL certificate (E475284) and PRS approval TE/2241/880567/19, which proves their suitability in demanding industrial and marine applications. Mechanical strength class 1 and class A in terms of short-circuit resistance guarantee safe operation in various operating conditions.
Remember that sector conductors (sm) should be reformed “into a circle” before connecting to the connector to ensure optimal electrical contact.
