The UD 80A distribution block is a component designed for the safe and efficient connection of copper and aluminum wires in electrical installations. The construction with tinned copper ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance, which translates to long-lasting and trouble-free operation. **Construction and mounting

The UD 80A is characterized by a tilting and removable cover, which facilitates access to the terminals during installation and maintenance. The possibility of mounting on a DIN rail or directly on a plate using screws provides flexibility in choosing the installation method, adapting to different conditions and requirements. A transparent protective cover increases safety by minimizing the risk of accidental contact with live parts.

**Parameters and application

The UD 80A block is adapted to work with wires with a cross-section from 6 to 16 mm², both stranded and with ferrules. The maximum rated current is 80 A (IEC) or 85 A (UL/CSA), and the short-circuit current withstand (Icw) is as high as 3 kA. This ensures effective protection of the circuit against overload and short circuit - as with most circuit breakers in this class. The rated conditional short-circuit current (Icc) is 11 kA, and the rated short-circuit current (SCCR) is as high as 100 kA, which confirms high resistance to dynamic loads. The product meets the requirements of IEC 60947-7-1 and EN 45545 (HL3 classification for R23 and HL2 for R22), which guarantees its safety and reliability in demanding applications - even in rail transport. The materials used in production are halogen-free and self-extinguishing (UL94V-0), which further increases fire safety.
