Air contactor – reliable motor control

This air contactor from the CEM series is a proven component for remote switching on and off of electric motors and other energy consumers. Application in power switching, star-delta and reversing circuits, thanks to the possibility of mounting additional mechanical locks. The contactor design allows for flexible mounting both on a TH35 rail and on a mounting plate.

Characteristics and application

The CEM18.01-24V-50/60HZ contactor is designed to operate with a control voltage of 24V AC (50/60Hz). The rated current AC-3 is 18A, allowing control of motors with a power of up to 7.5 kW (at 400V). The rated current AC-1 is 32A. It has three normally closed main contacts, one normally open auxiliary contact and zero normally closed auxiliary contacts. The connection of the main contacts is made using frame clamps, which facilitates installation and ensures a secure connection.

• Overload protection: Possibility of direct connection of an RE series overload relay to ensure comprehensive motor protection.
• Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of PN-IEC/PN-EN 60 947 and DIN VDE 0660 standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability of operation.
• Integration with surge protectors: Possibility of connection to the coil terminals of a BAM surge protector for additional installation protection.
• Wide temperature range: Operation in an ambient temperature range of -25°C to +55°C ensures reliability in various environmental conditions.
