Air contactor – reliable switching on and off of motors

This CEM18.10-48V-50/60HZ air contactor is a component designed for remote control of electric motors and other energy consumers. It will work in both simple applications and more complex switching systems, star-delta or reversing. The contactor design allows for mounting on a TH35 rail or mounting plate, making installation easier in various conditions.

Performance and operating parameters

This contactor is characterized by a rated current of AC-3 of 18A at 400V, which allows it to handle loads up to 7.5 kW. The rated current AC-1 is 32A, which means it can also be used to switch non-inductive loads. The control voltage is 48V AC (50/60Hz), ensuring compatibility with most standard control systems. It has three main normally closed contacts and one auxiliary normally open contact (NO), which allows signaling the operating status of the device.

Design and application

The CEM18.10-48V-50/60HZ contactor has been designed with durability and reliability in mind. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures stable operation even in difficult environmental conditions (ambient temperature from -25°C to +55°C). The possibility of installing mechanical BLIME locks allows combining contactors of different sizes, and the option of connecting a surge protector BAM increases the safety of the installation. Additionally, the contactor complies with PN-IEC/PN-EN 60947 and DIN VDE 0660 standards, which confirms its quality and safety of use. The possibility of installing front or side auxiliary contacts allows expanding the functionality of the contactor and adapting it to specific application needs – e.g. signaling alarm states.
