Air contactor for reliable motor control

This CEM40.00-24V-DC air contactor is a robust solution for remote switching on and off of electric motors and other energy consumers. It is suitable for both simple applications and more complex switching systems, star-delta or reversing. The contactor design allows mounting on a TH35 rail or mounting plate, providing flexibility during installation.

Performance and technical parameters

The contactor is designed to operate with a DC 24V control voltage and offers an AC3 rated current of 40A, allowing it to handle loads up to 18.5 kW (at 400V). The rated AC1 current is 60A. Three normally closed main contacts provide a reliable connection, and the ability to install auxiliary contacts (front or side) expands the functionality of the device – enabling signaling of the contactor's operating status, e.g. in the event of alarms.

Functionality and compatibility

The CEM40.00-24V-DC contactor complies with PN-IEC/PN-EN 60 947 and DIN VDE 0660 standards, guaranteeing its safety and reliability. The ability to connect a BAM surge protector and a dedicated RE overload relay from the RE series increases the level of installation protection. Additionally, CEM…CN contactors are available in a version for switching capacitors. The BLIME 9-105 mechanical lock allows combining contactors of different sizes (CEM9 to CEM105), which facilitates the construction of complex control systems.
