Air contactor – reliable switching on and off of motors

This air contactor from the CEM series is a robust solution for remote control of electric motors and other energy consumers. It is suitable for both simple applications and more advanced switching systems, star-delta or reversing. The contactor design allows for mounting on a TH35 rail or mounting plate, providing flexibility during installation.

Performance and operating parameters

The CEM65.11-230V contactor is characterized by a rated current of AC-3 of 65A at 400V, allowing it to handle loads up to 30 kW. The rated current AC-1 is 110A, making it suitable for non-inductive loads as well. The control voltage of 230V AC (50/60Hz) ensures compatibility with most standard installations. It has three main normally open contacts and one auxiliary normally open and one normally closed contact, allowing for the implementation of various control and signaling functions.

Design and functionality for professionals

CEM contactors have been designed with ease of integration with other electrical installation elements in mind. The possibility of connecting a mechanical interlock BLIME allows for connecting contactors of different sizes, and the option of mounting an overload relay RE provides additional motor protection. In addition, the contactor is compatible with BAM surge protectors, which increases the safety of the entire system. Front and side auxiliary contacts facilitate signaling the operating status of the contactor, which is particularly important in applications requiring monitoring and alarming.
