Air contactor – reliable switching of loads

This CEM9.10-110V-50/60HZ air contactor is a robust solution for remote control of electric motors and other energy consumers. It is suitable for both simple home applications and more demanding industrial installations. Designed to operate at 110V AC (50/60Hz), it offers a rated current of AC-3 at 9A, allowing it to handle loads up to 4kW. The contactor design allows for mounting on a TH35 rail or mounting plate, providing flexibility during installation.

Functionality and application

CEM series contactors are widely used in power switching circuits, star-delta and reversing circuits. Thanks to the possibility of connecting additional accessories, such as mechanical interlocks or surge protectors, the functionality of the device can be extended and adapted to specific application needs. The NO (normally open) auxiliary contact facilitates signaling of the contactor's operating status, which is particularly important in automation and control systems. The ability to directly connect an overload relay from the RE series provides additional protection for the motor against overload.

Construction and characteristic features

The contactor has three normally closed main contacts, providing reliable switching of the load. Connection of the main contacts is done using frame clamps, which facilitates and speeds up the installation process. In addition, the contactor is compatible with BLIME 9-105 mechanical interlocks, which allow the connection of contactors of different sizes (CEM9 to CEM105). It is worth mentioning the possibility of mounting front or side auxiliary contacts, which increases the flexibility of the device configuration and allows it to be adapted to individual project requirements. The rated operating current for AC-1 is 25A.
