Power reliability control – SZR-2ST controller

The SZR-2ST controller is an intelligent device designed for automatic switching between two power sources. Its main task is to ensure continuity of power supply, eliminating downtime caused by network failures or voltage problems. The device monitors power parameters and, in the event of detecting irregularities such as voltage loss, phase asymmetry or incorrect phase sequence, automatically switches the load to the backup power source. This is a key element of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems used in critical applications such as hospitals, server rooms, data centers or public buildings.

Functionality and application

The SZR-2ST controller is used in automatic reserve start-up (SZR) systems, where automatic switching to emergency power is essential to ensure continuous operation of devices. Thanks to its compact size – it occupies only 4 modules on a TH35 rail – it can be easily integrated with the existing electrical infrastructure. The device is particularly useful in three-phase installations, where power supply stability is crucial. Additional adjustment knobs in the SZR-2ST model allow for precise adjustment of the voltage threshold and switching delay time to the specific requirements of the application.

Construction and characteristic features

The SZR-2ST controller is characterized by a solid construction and high reliability. Its housing is made of plastic resistant to external factors. The device has screw terminals, which facilitate the connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 2.5 mm². The rated continuous current of 8A ensures compatibility with most standard loads. Compact dimensions (160 x 99 x 66 mm) allow for mounting in tight spaces. The IP20 protection class provides protection against accidental contact. The device operates at a temperature of -20°C to +40°C, which guarantees its reliability in various environmental conditions.
