NH Fuse Links – Reliable Installation Protection
NH fuse links are a proven safety element for electrical installations, protecting them from the effects of short circuits and overloads. The design and electrical parameters of these fuse links comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, guaranteeing their reliable operation and safety. In particular, the presented NH00 gG 125A/690V fuse link, thanks to its time-delay characteristic, is perfect for circuits exposed to short-term current surges, e.g. during motor starting.
Construction and Application
The NH00 gG 125A/690V fuse link is designed to protect electrical wires and devices. Its construction is based on a body made of steatite – a material with high thermal stability, which ensures resistance to damage in the event of overloads. The knife contacts made of silver-plated brass minimize contact resistance and ensure efficient current flow. The aluminum covers protect against corrosion, extending the life of the fuse link.
The KOMBI version, equipped with a dual tripping indicator – a red eye on the ceramic body and a spring-loaded strip on the cover – facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse, both in fuse bases and disconnectors. Additionally, the indicator on the top cover enables cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote tripping signaling.
Key Features and Benefits
- Full-range protection (gG): Protects the circuit against overload and short circuit – as with most circuit breakers in this class.
- Time-delay characteristic: Allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without tripping, which is important when starting motors or transformers.
- High breaking capacity: The rated breaking capacity AC is 100 kA, ensuring effective circuit interruption in the event of a high-energy short circuit.
- Dual tripping indicator: Enables quick and easy identification of a blown fuse from any location.
- Durable construction: Steatite body and silver-plated knife contacts guarantee long life and reliable operation.
- Wide voltage range: Designed for operation at AC 690V and DC 250V, increasing its versatility.
- Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-2 standards, confirming its safety and quality.
It is important to select the correct fuse link for a specific application, taking into account the rated current of the circuit and the expected short-circuit current values. Correct selection will ensure effective protection of the electrical installation and minimize the risk of failure.
