Knife fuse links – reliable installation protection

Knife fuse links are a fundamental element in protecting electrical installations from the effects of short circuits and overloads. This particular fuse link, designated as NH000 gG 35A/690V, combines a proven design with modern solutions, ensuring efficient and safe operation. Construction and application

The NH000 gG 35A/690V fuse link is designed to protect wires and circuits with a time-delay characteristic (gG). This means it allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without tripping, which is particularly important when starting devices with electric motors or other loads with high inrush current. Made of high-quality materials – a steatite (thermally stable material) body, silver-plated brass knife contacts, and aluminum covers – it provides long-lasting protection against corrosion and stable electrical parameters. The inside of the fuse link is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which further increases its short-circuit breaking capacity.

Functionality and indicators

A key feature of this fuse link is the dual operation indicator – a red eye on the ceramic body and a spring-loaded plate on the top cover. This solution ensures easy and quick visual identification of a blown fuse, both in the fuse base and in the disconnector. Additionally, the indicator on the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote signaling of operation. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity AC is as high as 100 kA, making it suitable for use in demanding industrial conditions. The total Joule integral of switching is 2500 A²s, and the pre-arcing 18000 A²s. The rated current of this fuse link is 35A at AC 690V and DC 250V.
