Fuse-link knife-type – reliable installation protection
Knife-type fuse-links NH are a proven element of electrical protection, protecting installations from the effects of short circuits and overloads. The NH000 gG 50A/690V product, catalog number 004181311, meets the requirements of PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards. It is a time-delay fuse, designed for general use (gG) – ideal for protecting wires and circuits requiring resistance to short-term current surges.
Construction and characteristic features
The fuse-link is made of high-quality materials: a steatite body (thermally stable material), silver-plated brass knife contacts and an aluminum cover – ensuring corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The inside of the fuse-link is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, guaranteeing a high short-circuit breaking capacity (up to 100 kA) and stable electrical parameters.
A key feature of this fuse-link is the double tripping indicator – a red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover. This solution provides clear and easy-to-read information about the fuse-link blowing, both in the fuse base and in the disconnector. Additionally, the indicator in the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch, enabling remote signaling of tripping.
Application and mounting
The NH000 gG 50A/690V fuse-link is used in AC installations with a rated voltage of up to 690V and a rated current of 50A. It is compatible with fuse bases and fuse disconnectors. Insulated handles R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI are recommended for mounting, providing additional safety during work. Silver-plated knife contacts facilitate mounting and ensure a reliable electrical connection.
It is worth paying attention to the specification regarding the short-circuit breaking capacity (21000 A²s) and the pre-arcing integral (3900 A²s), which demonstrate the high protection efficiency offered by this product. The fuse-link meets IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-2 standards, confirming its compliance with European safety standards.
