NH Fuse Links – Reliable Installation Protection
NH fuse links are a proven safety element for electrical installations, protecting against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Designed for industrial requirements, they meet the standards of PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636. This particular fuse link, with a rated current of 315A and a voltage of 690V, is characterized by a time-delay characteristic (gG), which means it allows for short-term current overloads without disconnecting the circuit – an ideal solution for devices with high inrush current.
Construction and User Features
The NH2 gG 315A/690V fuse link is made of high-quality materials, guaranteeing its reliability and long life. The body is made of steatite – a thermally stable material, and the knife contacts are silver-plated, ensuring excellent conductivity and minimizing the risk of corrosion. Thanks to the use of quartz sand with a special granulation inside the body, the fuse link is characterized by a high short-circuit breaking capacity (100 kA) and stable electrical parameters. A dual operating indicator – a red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover – provides easy and quick identification of a blown fuse, both in the fuse base and in the disconnector. Additionally, the indicator on the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote signaling of the fuse status.
Application and Compatibility
NH fuse links are widely used in:
- Industrial electrical installations: protection of motors, transformers, power lines and other devices.
- Low-voltage switchboards: protection of individual circuits against overloads and short circuits.
- Public buildings: ensuring the safety of electrical installations in facilities with increased requirements.
It is worth remembering that appropriate insulating holders (e.g. R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI) are required for mounting NH fuse links. When used with HVL or KVL fuse disconnectors, it is recommended to use fuse links with a striker (NH.../K…) equipped with microswitches for remote signaling of operation.
