Fuse-link inserts – reliable installation protection

NH fuse-link inserts are a proven element of electrical protection, protecting installations from the effects of short circuits and overloads. This model, with a rated current of 425A and a voltage of 500V, is designed for demanding industrial applications. Its parameters and construction comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees its reliability and safety of use.

Construction and characteristic features

The NH3 gG insert is characterized by a time-delay characteristic (gG), which means it is intended for general use and provides effective protection of conductors against overloads and short circuits. It is made of high-quality materials: a steatite body – a thermally stable material, silver-plated brass knife contacts and aluminum covers, providing corrosion resistance. The inside of the insert is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which translates into a high short-circuit breaking capacity (120kA) and stable electrical parameters.

• Double operating indicator: A combined signaling system – a red eye in the central part of the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover – ensures easy and reliable identification of a blown insert.
• Cooperation with remote signaling: The indicator in the top cover allows connection to the NVS 5 microswitch, which enables remote signaling of the insert's operation.
• Easy installation: Silver-plated knife contacts with a special shape facilitate the installation of the insert in the fuse base or fuse disconnector.
• Safety of use: Insulated handles (NH…/I…) are available to provide additional protection against contact with live parts.

Application and compatibility

The NH3 gG 425A/500V insert finds application in a wide range of industrial electrical installations. It is compatible with fuse bases and fuse disconnectors equipped with microswitches for remote signaling of operation. Additionally, special versions of fuse-links with a striker (NH.../K…) are available for use with HVL and KVL disconnectors. It is worth remembering the dedicated insulating handles R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI to facilitate installation.
