NH Fuse Links – Reliable Installation Protection
NH knife fuse links are a proven element of protection in industrial installations. They serve to protect against the effects of short circuits and overloads, ensuring the continuity of equipment operation and user safety. The NH3 gG 500A/690V fuse link is characterized by its high effectiveness and complies with applicable standards, such as PN-93/E-06160, PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636.
Construction and Application
The NH3 gG 500A/690V fuse link is designed to operate in alternating current (AC) circuits with a rated voltage of up to 690V and a rated current of 500A. It has a gG characteristic, which means it provides full-range protection – both against overloads and short circuits. This makes it suitable for protecting cables and various types of electrical equipment. The construction of the fuse link with a steatite body and knife contacts made of silver-plated brass guarantees stable electrical parameters and corrosion resistance. In addition, the quartz sand filling provides a high short-circuit breaking capacity, reaching 100kA.
Functionality and Status Identification
The fuse link is equipped with a dual operating indicator – a red eyelet located centrally on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover. This system facilitates quick and unambiguous identification of a blown fuse, both in the fuse base and in the fuse disconnector. This makes servicing the installation faster and more efficient. It is worth mentioning the possibility of cooperation with the NVS 5 micro-switch, which enables remote signaling of the fuse link operation.
