Fuse links – reliable installation protection
NH fuse links are industrial devices used to protect electrical installations against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Their design and electrical parameters comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees their reliability and safety of use. This model, designated as NH3 gG 630A/400V, is particularly useful in applications requiring full-range protection – it protects against both overloads and short circuits.
Design and characteristic features
The fuse link has been designed with durability and functionality in mind. The body is made of steatite – a material characterized by thermal stability, which translates into resistance to high temperatures generated during current flow. The silver-plated brass knife contacts ensure excellent electrical conductivity and minimize the risk of corrosion. The aluminum covers provide additional protection against external factors.
The fuse link is equipped with a double tripping indicator – a red eye in the central part of the ceramic body and a spring-loaded plate on the top cover. This system provides easy and unambiguous visual identification of the fuse blowing, which facilitates quick location and removal of the fault. Additionally, the indicator in the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch, enabling remote signaling of the fuse operation – an important solution in automatic monitoring and control systems.
The interior of the body is tightly filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which ensures a high short-circuit breaking capacity (up to 120 kA) and stable electrical parameters during operation. The knife contacts are designed to facilitate the installation of the fuse link in a fuse base or fuse disconnector.
