Fuse-link inserts – reliable installation protection

Knife fuse-links NH are a proven element of electrical protection, protecting installations against the effects of short circuits and overloads. This model, with a rated current of 1500A and a voltage of 500V, is designed for demanding industrial applications. Its construction and parameters comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees its reliability and safety of use.

The NH4a gG fuse-link is characterized by a time-delay characteristic, designated as gG, which means that it is a general-purpose fuse-link for protecting conductors against overload and short circuit. This allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without unnecessary tripping of the circuit – important, for example, when starting electric motors. The rated breaking capacity for alternating current AC is as high as 120kA, which ensures effective protection even in the event of serious failures.

Construction and distinguishing features

The insert is made of high-quality materials – a steatite body (thermally stable material), silver-plated brass knife contacts and aluminum covers. This combination ensures corrosion resistance and long-term stability of electrical parameters. The inside of the insert is filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which further increases its short-circuit breaking capacity.

It is worth noting the double tripping indicator – a red eyelet located in the central part of the ceramic body and a springy plate on the top cover. This system facilitates quick identification of a blown insert, both visually in the fuse base and in the fuse disconnector. Additionally, the indicator in the top cover enables cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote tripping signaling.

Application and compatibility

The NH4a gG 1500A/500V fuse-link is used in industrial installations where high reliability and effective protection against overloads and short circuits are required. It is compatible with fuse bases and fuse disconnectors equipped with microswitches for remote signaling. Insulated grips R 00-3 or GPSHE/AI can be used for mounting for additional safety when working with the device under voltage.
