VV fuse links are a proven protection element in medium voltage networks, designed to protect cables, transformers, motors, and capacitor banks from the effects of short circuits and overloads. Construction and Application

VV fuse links are characterized by a solid construction, based on a ceramic body and precisely made contact elements. After the fuse link operates, the striker extends with a force of approximately 50N (VVC3) or 80N (VVT-D3), indicating the need for replacement and activating the tripping mechanism of the fuse disconnectors. Versions with a thermal trigger also react to an increase in the temperature of the fuse link body to approximately 120°C, providing additional protection against overloads.
