VVC3 24kV/40A fuse link with striker is a protective element designed to protect medium voltage (MV) electrical and power equipment against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Construction and operating principle
The VVC3 fuse link is characterized by a solid construction, based on a ceramic body with high mechanical and thermal strength. Inside there is a fuse element made of silver, which melts under the influence of excessive current, initiating the operation of the striker. The striker, after activation, extends with a force of 50N, signaling a failure and enabling the activation of the fuse switchgear tripping mechanism. This model does not have a thermal release – which means it reacts only to the short-circuit current value.
